Poreč is a city in the west of Croatia located on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula. The Poreč region or Poreština covers 142 km², with a 37 km long coastline, from the Mirna River near Novigrad in the north to Funtana and Vrsar in the south. In addition to the city of Poreč, there are 7 other municipalities in Poreština. The climate is very mild, without summer heat. August is the warmest month, and January is the coldest.
